  • When the first screen appears, press the F10 key to enter the BIOS Setup.
  • Use the arrow keys to scroll over to the System Configuration.
  • Scroll to the LAN Power Saving, press the Enter key to Disabled.
  • To exit the BIOS setup, press the F10 key, select Yes, and then press Enter.

after that try to re-install LAN driver on your HP laptop, and your LAN will function normally again.

After you download the files above please follow the steps below to install it to your  lenovo  laptop,
  • Click Start. [Windows 7/Vista] 
  • Right-click Computer, and then click Properties. At the left pane, click Device Manager. [Windows XP] 
  • Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  • Double-click the IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers or storage controllers category. 
  • Double-click Either of the Following devices.

Intel (R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller
Intel (R) ICH9M-E / M SATA AHCI Controller

Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller
Intel (R) ICH9M/ME Family 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 2929
RAID Controller.
  • Click the Driver tab, then click Update Driver Software ... 
  • Click Browse my computer for driver software. 
  • Click Browse ..., then point to driver location specified in Step 9. 
  • Make sure the checkbox next to "Include subfolders" is checked and click 

Reinstall the Operating System On Acer Laptop

Note: If your computer does not have an internal optical disc drive, an external optical disc drive will from be required in order to recover the operating system using the Acer Recovery Media.
  1. Restart the computer. 
  2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the computer's Boot Menu. 
  3. Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the disc labeled CD System. 
  4. Close the CD-ROM tray. 
  5. Refer to on screen instructions to select Either CDROM or USB CDROM. 
  6. The computer will of the boot from the Acer Recovery Media 
  7. When prompted for the Recovery CD, remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD. 
Note: If there are multiple Recovery CDs, please insert the first of the Recovery CDs.
After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System

Download and install Driver SATA/AHCI Acer Aspire 3410

if you use a laptop Acer Aspire 3410, and you have a problem hard drive is not detected when installing Windows XP, you have to do is install the drivers sata / AHCI to be able to continue the installation, Before you start to install Microsoft  Windows XP  operating system, you will need an optical drive, a USB floppy disk drive, a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette, and Microsoft Windows XP  Professional/Home Edition Setup Disc (bootable). 

  • Extract AHCI F6 driver files to a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette. 
  • Connect the USB floppy drive and then boot up from the Microsoft  Windows XP  Professional/Home Edition Setup Disc to install operating system. 
  • At the beginning of the operating system installation, press [F6] to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver. 
  • When prompted, select 'S' to Specify Additional Device. 
  • Insert the floppy diskette you created in step 1. 
  • At this point you should be presented with a selection for one of the following controllers listed depending on your hardware version and configuration for AHCI Controllers: 
  •  Select [Intel(R) NM10 Express Chipset] 
  • Highlight the selection that is appropriate for the hardware in your system and press Enter. 
  • Press Enter again to continue. 
  • Leave the floppy diskette in the system until the next reboot as the software will need to be copied from the floppy diskette again when setup is copying files.

  • Click 'Custom' to replace your existing Windows installation with Windows 7. This will of result in deleting all programs and data currently on your computer. 
  • Select the partition Nowhere Would you like to install Windows. To move your existing Windows installation into a Windows.old folder and replace the operating system with Windows 7, select the partition Nowhere your current Windows installation is located. Click 'Next' and then click 'OK'. 

Windows 7 Setup will from now proceed with your Windows 7 installation. 
after you finish installing windows 7 there are a few more steps you must do the following

Windows Easy Transfer is included in Windows 7, so you cans click 'Start' and type 'easy' into the 'Search programs and files' box to find it, or browse through 'Start', 'All programs', 'Accessories', 'System Tools' and click on 'Windows Easy Transfer'. 
  • If you backed up your data before installing from Windows 7, this would be a good time to restore data to your laptop That's hard disk.
